Isn’t it crazy that it’s been five years since the start of 2020? That damn pandemic is well and truly in the rear view mirror and we’ve learned so many important things since then. There’s been massive growth in terms of our public understanding of mental health, gender diversity and physical health. Of course there’s a lot more then just those three but those are the three that immediately spring to mind. 2023 was the year I found out about more gender roles then just “gay” or “straight”. I found out about what being bisexual and transgender meant, and that someone could identify as both as well. It was really cool and fascinating. It was
especially crazy to see such a positive massive culture shift happen only within about a year, year and a half. Especially after leaving about past struggles within the LGBTQ community. It’s crazy looking back seeing that I was learning about this new thing to me right when people were finally starting to take this culture more seriously.
I also finally started to upload to NewGrounds in 2023 after finding out about the site through FNF in 2021 when that game really blew up. They practically saved my sanity after getting lonely and depressed because of COVID. I finally had a chance to fully express myself after feeling insecure about how I should fit into society. I’m saying all of this because now more then ever I feel like I’m really to get out there and live life without stressing the small stuff. I’m ready to live with fun, excitement, optimism and energy moving forward! I know it won’t all be sunshine and rainbows but I’m done acting like it’s the end of the world when something doesn’t go my way! I’ll use every opportunity good or bad to enjoy the thrills of life or to work on my problems respectively.
That’s my New Year’s resolution!
I’m so pumped to improve my art skills and really share my style and sense of humor with everyone!
The part that trips me up with it being 2025 is that we’re half way through the 2020’s and now even the late 2010’s are considered old! 2019 was six years ago! What the heck!? What have all your peoples experiences been like the past few years and what’s been your favorite experience this past decade and a half plus some change?
