Hey everyone.

I wanted to gave a little update and clarification about my thoughts and plans for the future with my art:

A while ago I made a post about how I felt in regards to adult content in media.

In summary, I stated that It an underaged character is going to be portrayed in an explicit manner, that it would be best if that character was drawn as an adult.

For example: Amy from the Sonic series is canonically 12 despite being romantically shipped with other characters in the series.

However most people view these romances with older versions of these characters.

The same could be said for and NSFW drawings of the character, as most people draw her with prominent adult features and or proportions, to make things as unambiguous as possible.

The same could be said for Yuffi from Final Fantasy XII who is 16 and yet, people still like her energetic personality for a number of reasons.

I like to think of myself as an optimist and usually when I stumble across this stuff, crude Art that isn’t as clear and unambiguou, I try to imagine that the artist has honest intentions but sadly that’s not always the case.

I’ve been putting a lot more thought into understanding stylized anatomy and how I can portray the characters I draw, as adults with some style and flair to their designs.

I’ve noticed that adult characters with big heads, like in anime, cartoons, etc, tend to emphasize the height and waist of the character in question.

I hope to use the things I’m learning to grow and improve as an artist and I hope I’ve put my thoughts together in a clear, concise and understandable way.

People can be pretty crazy, for better or for worse.

I hope to embrace the weird, wacky and wonderful, though my art, as it’s one of the reasons I joined this crazy community to begin with.

Akira Toriyama has left quite the legacy, hasn’t he.

It’s crazy to see how so many people were and are interested by his work, and definitely something special to see the home page covered with art of Dragon Ball and Akira!

Rest In Peace Toriyama sensei.

I went to Montgomery St: San Francisco with my family yesterday!

there’s a famous photo of the Sonic Adventure 2 dev team standing at the bottom on that hill as San Fran was a massive inspiration for SA2!

Fun Fact: the dev’s that moved to San Francisco “STI” first worked on Sonic 2!

I’m in California a few days to see my sister who’s in college.

It’s a few days since I got to the big 50 but I’d like to shout out someone very special I found, balloonshroom!

I don’t remember how, but when I found there page I saw a sad message about feeling discouraged due to all of the bad things in this world, and so I responded with a message about how people can spread positivity through the passion they have for the thing's they make and enjoy!

It’s safe to say that balloonshroom is one of those people and I wanted to let them know!

they’ve gone back to making things since my comment and I’m grateful to see his art because that statement is one I truly believe in, that anyone who’s passionate about what they do can make a positive change in the world and balloonshroom is a great example of that!

I’m in Florida for the next month or two to do some life skills training.

I found this old duck a few days ago!

He’s big and has a broken wing sadly but He seems fine, lives near our apartment and swims in a big pond that is just n between the buildings!

I've thought about the rating system on Newgrounds for a while and have noticed that some content on the site doesn't seem to fit well with either an "E" or "T" rating.

So I thought about suggesting that an "E10" rating be added to the site!!

Most media that I grew up with was rated PG on TV and a lot of these shown contained some form of violence, censored or minor cursing, a subtle adulte joke and partial or censored nudity, like how the main characters of a show might wear a non revealing swimsuit to the poor or beach, and in more comedy focused shows I grew up with like "Total Drama Island" or "The Amazing World of gumball", a character might show their butt cheeks or even have their "genitals" heavily censored or covered up by something else! I knew what being naked was like so I thought it was funny to see the characters act embarrassed about the same thing.

Granted, I know that something like that leans more toward the “T” side of things but the point still stands.

My main goal is preposing this Is to have a safe and easy way for people to indicate that the content that they post is, not suitable for young kids but not vulgar enough for a "T".

Like how all other media has been treated for the past 20 or so years.

I think that this feature will not only allow for an easier rating experience, but will also allow for more creative freedom for the site and it's users.

It’s one of my favorites!

Last night I had some terrible thoughts come up again,

I expected a lot of things on my trip to Greece and Rome with my mom a couple of months ago.

I enjoyed a lot of the food and the openness of the city but there were also a lot of places that felt overly touristy, to the point where it was hard to appreciate what I was look at.

going to the Vatican was also hard on an emotional level.

Hearing from my mom that the church was built with rooms that would glorify the popes more and more as time rolled by instead of giving that money to the poor or Lethe people see the things that were built inside the church.

Whrn I went to church when I was young, I remember it being grand yes, but it was a building for the people, for anyone no matter how rich or poor to came and worship. To marvel at the wonder of the place.

My mom said that there is good and bad with every culture and empire so I’m excited to find the positive in the cultures that make me, me!

I’m almost over this awkward slump and am close to seeing all the wonders of the world again!
