I like video games and enjoy the passion people have for art and storytelling. I also like the ocean and the qualities of nature as a whole.

The bar for entry is pretty low, unless you are not really putting any effort into your work. Then you might get banned for spamming. But like DeviantArt it's a little hard to get engagement without networking with other artists. I recommend you make some acquaintances in the art forum and get involved with the community as you work on your craft. Same for music. Building a fanbase is hard but totally worth it

Thanks for leading me in the right direction in regards to getting some help! I’ll definitely be spending more time in the forums, talk to others, ask questions and collaborate. This whole experience as rough as it was, has been very encouraging. Thank you!

@Lizguy74 Glad I could help! If you ever have any questions or want feedback on a piece, you can drop a comment on my last news post :)

ISO’s this a news post? It seems that every section has their own rules to follow. I also remember downloading a remix of a Mario Kart song from here but the upload rules state that you can’t make a remix without express permission from the composer right? I’m still trying to wrap my head around this legal stuff so any help would be great! Thanks for the support.

@Lizguy74 Yes the rules are very complicated due to years of people getting us in legal or possible legal trouble. So you can't remix the billboard top 100 type stuff here, but video game remixes usually will get the pass if the company doesn't have a history of chasing people down for remixes. It's a little bit of a headache but in general, you can upload dodgy content to YouTube and share that video here to your profile. Upload safe content to your audio portfolio. Keeps things balanced!

I also have some vest practice advice for dropping releases, but the best thing to do overall is be upfront, you're trying to learn your way around music production or whatever it is you post, and you're interested in help!

Yeah, I’ll definitely be more upfront with the community here! I’ll try new things and if an issue pops up again I’ll know where to look for help and advice. Thanks?

@Lizguy74 Yvw. Any time! Do you have an idea of where you want to focus your account?

I like drawing, animation and music so mainly those things to start out. I’ve just been uploading a bunch of old stuff from a year or two that I made. I don’t even know whether I want to keep the second song I posted up because the main piano was composed by a music instructor I was working with at the time! I have been drawing digitally and have been taking some lessons in that so I’m excited to post something new that I drew. I’m also working on a script for the NG Creepypasta Collab so I’m excited for that too!

@Lizguy74 As a general rule, if the live performance is done by you and the piece isn't copyrighted, it's fine to leave up. If it's clicking in the notes your professor did, that's not okay, unless you substantially remixed it and it's not copyrighted ofc.

I'd say keep doing what you're doing in terms of posting your backlog. You can take your time, a few every week or so, just to keep stuff coming, and add a few personal touches to the descriptions. What kind of animation are you into?

Yeah, it’s not a blatant copy. He did the piano and I was on the keyboard. I actually posted most of the rest of my backlog to my page today. Whoops! In terms of animation I like stylized things and fast paced frenetic action! Crude humor, dumb references, over the top characters, scenarios and crazy out their ideas! I like a lot of anime and other shows like The Amazing World of Gumball, Adventure Time, Codename Kids Next Door, Courage The Cowardly Dog, the original Teen Titans, the OG Power Puff Girls, Pokémon, Bakugan, Bayblade!! I grew up with all of those shows at some point or another!! Recently I’ve been interested in a lot of Studio Trigger’s stuff! Rise of The TMNT was heavily influenced by their stuff and even surpasses a lot of their anime influence in the animation department on top of just being good in general! What a gem of a show! I NEED to check it out at some point!
